Malone College is a private, liberal arts college located in Canton, Ohio. The college was founded in 1892, and is affiliated with the Evangelical Friends Church.

Malone was founded in 1892 as Cleveland Bible College by Walter and Emma Malone. It was renamed Malone College in honor of its founders in 1957 when it moved to Canton, Ohio. Malone has over 13,900 alumni.
The Malone board has recently voted unanimously to change the school's name to Malone University.[1]

Malone serves approximately 2,300 undergraduate and Masters degree students. Some of its leading degree programs include Nursing, Communications, Bible and Theology, Education, and Business Administration. There are a total of 43 majors and 32 minors available at Malone College. The average class size is 22.
The College has 4 graduate programs, including Christian Ministries, Education, Nursing, and Business Administration. It offers masters degrees in each.

Malone's athletics teams are known as the Pioneers[2]. They participate in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the American Mideast Conference[3]. For football, the school competes in the Mid-States Football Association. The baseball team competes in the NAIA but also in the National Christian College Athletic Association, in which they won the National Championship in 2006 by defeating Spring Arbor (MI) in a best of 3 game series in which the Pioneers took 2 games to 1.
The Malone Pioneers offer NAIA Sports in: Baseball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Football, Basketball, Golf, Soccer, Tennis, Softball, Track & Field, and Volleyball.

[edit] University Status
The Malone Board of Trustees voted unanimously on February 9, 2007, during its regular winter session, to change the name of the institution from Malone College to Malone University. The Trustees have empowered the College’s leadership team to develop a timeline to implement their action. [4]
