Lob wedge

A Lob Wedge, also called a Lofted Wedge or L-Wedge, is a golf club with a high amount of loft, usually 60 degrees, although the amount of loft ranges from 58 to 64 degrees in loft, except for a few brands of super-high lofted clubs made by fringe companies. The lob wedge is the most lofted club in a golfer's bag. The Lob Wedge can be used from the fairway, the rough, or from bunkers; whenever the player needs to hit the ball high or stop the ball quickly on the green.
The amount of bounce on a club usually dictates its primary use. Lob wedges with low bounce can be used on firmer lies, whereas those with a high bounce are often used from the rough, or the sand.
According to the Darrell Survey Company, the top three brands of lob wedges used on the PGA Tour during the 2004 season were
