[edit] Username Information

I originally joined Wikipedia in September 2005, with a different username. Then, in April 2007, I decided to change to a new username, primarily for four reasons:

[edit] First Reason

The first reason I changed usernames was that I had done relatively little work on my previous username, due to the fact that I was a middle school student at the time, and had little interest in contributing. Those who contribute helpfully to encyclopedias such as these in their preteen and early teen years are very rare. Like most, I wasn't one of them.

[edit] Second Reason

The second reason was that I simply wanted a new username. My old username was rather drab and boring, plus with numbers. I was unaware of the ability of Bureaucrats to rename and usurp the names of inactive accounts. Had I known that it was possible, I may not have had to create a new name.

[edit] Third Reason

The third reason was that I had forgotten both my password and my e-mail account to which my old user account was connected to. I was around the ages of 13 and 14 at the time; I really had no use for e-mail. The most I could use e-mail for back then was for Instant Messaging.

[edit] Fourth Reason

The fourth and final reason was that between September 2005 and April 2007, I had contributed to Wikipedia, but as an anonymous user. I decided not to have my IP address floating around randomly on the Internet, and the only solution was to create a new account. Thus, this username was created.

[edit] Current Conditions

I currently reside in the United States and attend high school. I am fond of tennis and video games, as well as contributing to Wikipedia. Musically speaking, I play piano and violin. Athletically speaking, I play tennis. I enjoy reading and I support the Democratic Party in United States politics. I also contribute to the Mozilla Firefox Project.

I fight vandalism and correct punctuation and spelling errors as much as possible, like a WikiGnome. This is a daunting task, as many days I do not have the time to edit. I also try to contribute as much knowledge as possible, and I try to refrain from edit wars. I prefer to merge and keep articles as opposed to deleting them, but if an article truly has no notable content, then I will support the deletion of that particular article.
