La Revanche des berceaux is an expression denoting the extraordinarily high birth rates of French Quebecers before the Quiet Revolution of the 1960s. Since the Quiet Revolution, the situation has been reversed as Quebec has become one of the places in the world with the lowest birth rates, which is the subject of a number of intellectual debate about the future of the culture and people of Quebec.
