Hello. Before making potentially controversial edits, such as those you made to Mel Gibson, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Also, make sure to use an informative edit summary for such edits. Otherwise, people might consider your edits to be vandalism. Thank you. --Jaysweet 16:46, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
Hello there Kingstowngalway! Please note that we are currently discussing whether the quotes that you blanked should be included. If you would like to participate in the discussion, please come to the talk page, but do not unilaterally change the quotes without making your opinion known. Thanks! --Jaysweet 16:46, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mel Gibson citations
Thanks for the citations. Next time you add one, please put the citation between <ref>..</ref> tags. That way the system will turn it into a proper footnote.
For example: <ref>Mel Gibson; Living Dangerously, Page 8, by Wensley Clarkson</ref>
See also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wp:cite
Thanks again.
Fwend 22:52, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
- I see that you've been trying to get the footnotes in. I'm afraid you haven't yet quite got it right. Please look carefully at the example I gave: you don't need the curly braces {{..}}, only the ref tags: open: <ref>and closing:</ref>. Thanks Fwend 23:57, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Richard Topcliffe
Do you have a source for the assertion that he had a reputation as a "deranged psychopath"? I've no difficulty in noting that he was a notorious torturer, but this is laying it on too heavy.--Shtove 10:41, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Indigenous Australian bushrangers
- I am not sure if Yagan is correctly categorised in Category:Indigenous Australian Bushrangers. Bushranger has some commotations that I don't think sit well with a warrior resisting European settlement. Not sure how the definition excludes him, but just starting to open up the discussion. Mary Ann Bugg or Musquito (bushranger) are correctly classified in my view, but I don't think it is a correct categorisation for Midgegooroo, Tullamareena or Jandamarra either.--Golden Wattle talk 00:58, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your request for citation
[1]: what in this paragraph are you asking for a citation for? There are probably 10 or 12 statements in the paragraph, and you didn't clarify on the talk page. - Jmabel | Talk 05:49, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Salvado
Nice work creating this page. For some reason the catholic categories needed the term 'roman catholic'. I am not sure why, but I'll bet there was some heated debate on that terminology. It seems to be a rather anglocentric pov, but I know little about these things. Red links are like red rags to some bullish editors, they indicate a non-existent page. I think one or two are a good idea if I find something that ought to exist (imho). Red linked user pages tend to attract attention from critics, you should consider editing you own, even a single character makes it blue. Keep reading the help pages and creating needed articles, this one had been listed for creation at WP:WA. Regards - Fred 09:33, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jewish converts to Catholicism
Please do not re-create this category; it has been deleted under WP:CSD G4 - recreation of previously deleted Category. See also Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Log/2006 September 8#Category:Jews who converted to Christianity. Jayjg (talk) 03:21, 15 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Paul Touvier and the SSPX
Hi Kingstowngalway.... I just wanted to let you know that I have added {{fact}} request for your updates concerning Paul Touvier being arrested at an SSPX priory. While I have no doubt that this did occur, this is the type of information that can be controversial if not backed up by a citation. Based upon the comments on the rest of your talk page, I suspect that you can easily find such a reference! (ps I'll watch your page for responses.) Thanks,Balloonman 00:23, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- I notice that you've already added the references, thanks...Balloonman 02:32, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Martyred priests
Hi, I see that you created category:Martyred priests. I've just proposed here that this should be renamed as Category:Martyred Roman Catholic priests. I don't think it will be contentious but you may want to comment there. - Fayenatic (talk) 22:21, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Jewish Roman Catholics
See Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2007 August 29#Category:Jewish Roman Catholics. Thank you, IZAK 13:06, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
- Re this last category a new category with the same exact issues is being nominated for deletion please be so kind and comment there as well. [2]יודל —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yidisheryid (talk • contribs) 17:56, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Wind That Shakes the Barley
Your recent edits to The Wind That Shakes the Barley seem very politically tilted toward Teddy's favor and toward an indictment of Damien, despite the fact that Damien is a more prominent character, that the film is very sympathetic toward Damien even as the situation is complex, and that more of the characters in the film stand with Damien than Teddy. Damien's death seems to be more Teddy's tragedy than the man killed! In my opinion think you need to strive for a more NPOV tone in your edits, both politically and in from the perspective of interpreting a work of fiction. I don't have time right now to address your edits, but perhaps you can give your tone some more consideration on this. [I am going to copy this comment to the film's talk page.] Thanks, Melty girl 21:35, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] EOKA
Hi, I am proposing to split the article on EOKA into two separate articles. I noticed you have contributed to the article so if you are still interested, please have a look at the talk page and add any of your thoughts. Georgeg (talk) 16:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Category:Ukrainian victims of Soviet repressions
Honestly why did you create this category? I mean you include people who were assasinated abroad Assasination might be a crime (though these fellows had it coming!) yet its not exactly a form of repression. You include people like Isaac Babel and Lev Kopelev who were not even Ukrainian, and Symon Petliura who was assasinated by a Jewish nationalist (not exactly something the USSR endorsed). Most of all there is already a category Victims of Soviet repressions which at length lists them all. While this one picks random people out of there, with no defined guideline. --Kuban Cossack 10:12, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Antoinette Frank
I reverted your edits to Antoinette Frank. I don't know if your edit calling Judge Marullo "Mr. Justice" was a serious edit. Judge Marullo is not a Supreme Court Justice but a District Court judge. Thanks. Nolamgm (talk) 02:44, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Pope Pius XII
I have removed the Righteous Among the Nations category that you added. Dalin's bid to confer this honor on him was rejected years ago and I can find no evidence that the situation has changed. If you feel I have reverted in error, please produce a source for the honor so that it can also be added to the article text as well. Savidan 23:17, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
