Khalid Mohammed is an Indian journalist, editor, film critic, screenwriter and film director. He is a film journalist presently with the Hindustan Times. He was formerly the lead editor for Filmfare magazine.
He is the son of Hindi film actress Zubeidaa (1910-1990)[1], on whose life he wrote the screenplay of Shyam Benegal's 2001 film, Zubeidaa [2].
He has directed four Hindi films which were all critical and financial failures. He is a film critic with Hindustan Times.

His credentials have become controversial in recent times. There is a criticism that he uses his movie reviews to settle personal scores against actors refusing to act in his movies [3]. Superstar Amitabh Bachchan is the most well known target of his. He was supposed to make a movie "Jai" in 2003-2004 with superstar Amitabh Bachchan[4], which didn't happen for unknown reasons. It is not clear if this is the reason for his rift with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan[5].
