KFRQ (94.5 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Active Rock format. Licensed to Harlingen, Texas, USA, and broudcast out of McAllen, Texas the station serves the lower Rio Grande Valley area. The station is currently owned by Entravision Holdings, LLC.[1]

The station went on the air as KELT-FM on April 26, 1983. On October 24, 1986, the station changed it's call sign to KELT, on March 1, 1992 to the current KFRQ,[2] The station previously had a country format as ""K-Frog from which the callsign KFRQ was derived. The station also aired an adult contemporary and country format under the callsign KELT.
