Kentwan Balmer (born in October 15, 1986 in Weldon, North Carolina) is a defensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He played collegiately for the North Carolina Tar Heels. He played high school football at Weldon High School in Weldon, North Carolina. He credits Roger Heinz for a lot of his success in college. Roger was his mentor for his first two years at Carolina.
Balmer was selected in the first round of the 2008 Draft, 29th overall.
