Lakendrick Tridel Clancy (born September 17, 1978 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama) is an American football defensive tackle in the NFL who is currently playing for the New Orleans Saints.

Clancy was a third-team All-American selection by The Sporting News and Football News in 1999. He was an All-Southeastern Conference first-team choice and started eight games at right defensive tackle. He earned team Player of the Week honors versus Memphis, Auburn, South Carolina and Georgia while serving as squad tri-captain…finished with 49 tackles (29 solos), seven sacks and 18 tackles for losses Played in every game in 1998, starting nine contests (eight at left tackle, one at right tackle). Recorded 55 tackles (34 solos) with 1½ sacks and 15 tackles for losses. Earned Max Emfinger's JUCO 150 Century Club All-American and Super Prep JUCO Top 100 honors at East Central (Miss.) Community College in 1997. Added All-South Division first-team honors. Recorded 191 tackles (101 solos) with 17 sacks during his two-year career (1996-97). Majored in criminal justice.

In his first year saw limited playing time in nine games. Was credited with five total tackles (four solos) also had one tackle for a loss. Suffered a left ankle injury early in the game versus Baltimore (9/3) and did not return, missed three consecutive games because of his ankle injury. Dressed for the first time in three games after the injury at N.Y. Jets logged eight plays. Logged 15 defensive snaps versus Cincinnati. Was deactivated Friday versus Cleveland. Returned to the active lineup at Baltimore. Logged 11 defensive snaps. Played 11 plays at Tennessee. Was deactivated Friday versus Philadelphia. Was deactivated Friday versus Jacksonville. Was deactivated Friday at Cincinnati. Played eight defensive snaps versus Oakland. Had one assist at N.Y. Giants registered three total tackles (two solos) versus Washington played 17 defensive snaps. Logged seven plays at San Diego Finished with one solo tackle.

Jets: Logged 10 plays…had one tackle. 12/23 vs. Detroit: Played eight defensive snaps. 12/30 at Cincinnati: Played three defensive snaps. 1/6/02 vs. Cleveland: Finished with three tackles (one solo).
In 2002: 9/9 at New England: Logged seven defensive snaps. 9/15 vs. Oakland: Played seven defensive snaps. 9/29 vs. Cleveland: Was deactivated because of a hamstring injury. 10/6 at New Orleans: Was inactive for the second straight week. 10/13 at Cincinnati: Was active for the first time in three weeks and played nine defensive snaps. 10/27 at Baltimore: Logged 10 defensive snaps and finished with one solo tackle. 11/3 at Cleveland: Dressed but did not play. 11/17 at Tennessee: Logged 10 defensive plays and finished with one tackle. 12/1 at Jacksonville: Dress but did not play. 12/8 vs. Houston: Was deactivated. 12/15 vs. Carolina: Was inactive for the second straight week. 12/23 at Tampa Bay: Was inactive for the third straight week. 12/29 vs. Baltimore: Was inactive for the fourth straight week.
2003: 9/7 vs. Baltimore: Logged 15 defensive plays. 9/14 at Kansas City: Played five defensive snaps. 9/21 at Cincinnati: Logged three defensive plays. 9/28 vs. Tennessee: Did not play. 10/5 vs. Cleveland: Did not play. 10/12 at Denver: Had one solo tackle…played six defensive snaps. 10/26 vs. St. Louis: Logged three defensive plays. 11/2 at Seattle: Had one tackle for no gain…played one defensive snap. 11/9 vs. Arizona: Logged 13 defensive plays. 11/23 at Cleveland: Recorded the first fumble recovery of his career in the fourth quarter that led to a Steelers’ field goal…played six defensive snaps. 12/7 vs. Oakland: Was credited with one solo tackle…played eight defensive snaps. 12/14 at New York: Logged three defensive snaps. 12/21 vs. San Diego: Was credited with one assist and one quarterback hurry/pressure…played nine defensive snaps. 12/28 at Baltimore: Logged two defensive plays.
On June 5, 2007 Clancy was released by the Cardinals[1]. Within 2 days (June 7) Clancy was picked up by the New Orleans Saints[2] after his short stint of free agency.
