[edit] Cooking Time
I have cooked kamut hundreds of times, and it doesn't require hours of simmering. It requires about an hour here in Denver, and probably less in lower altitudes.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.196.211.74 (talk) 04:41, 7 December 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Name
I think it is better to use the official name QK-77 for this article, as Kamut (even as it is derived from Ancient Egytian) is only an artificial marketing name being used. --Ylai 09:11, 23 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- (added a section header for readability) On the other hand, Kamut is used much more frequently than QK-77. "QK-77" with "wheat" returns about 1,140 results on Google, and "Kamut" with "wheat" returns about 167,000. Article names should be optimized for the general audience, not just biologists (or whoever uses the QK-77 name). I advocate changing the article name to Kamut, with the alternate name QK-77 mentioned at the beginning, of course. -kotra 19:10, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Tree of Life
This page should incorporate a Cultivar infobox, as per the Tree of Life Project. I feel obliged to do so, given that this particular cultivar is grown in my hometown... ~ Ross (ElCharismo) 06:04, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
