Kedainiai (ICAO: EYKD), also spelled Kedaynyay,[1] is an airport in Lithuania located 45 km north of Kaunas. It has 28 large pads. Aeronautical sources list it as "civilian", so its military use has probably been retired.
During the Cold War it was home to 128 Gv VTAP (128th Guards Military Transport Aviation Regiment) flying Il-76 and An-12 aircraft [2] . It was the base for 600 VTAP (600th Military Transport Aviation Regiment) also flying Il-76 and An-12, until 1992 when the unit was relocated to Shadrinsk [3].
