I am all for additions to the VAMPY list, but it is important that we keep a few things in mind. 1) Please keeps items encyclopedic. It is important that we keep this up to Wikipedia standards. 2) Please follow proper style. 3) Before beefing up non-essential parts of the article, we really need to include more history and such. If you have any questions, please let me know. I myself has some information on the program and know several others whom I am regularly in contact with who can provide information and resources where necessary. Also, whenever possible, please provide references. The best one will probably come from the Western Kentucky University - Center For Gifted Studies website. -Thebdj 00:54, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

Hi, and welcome to the Military history WikiProject! As you may have guessed, we're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of topics related to military history.
A few features that you might find helpful:
- Our navigation box points to most of the useful pages within the project.
- The announcement and open task box is updated very frequently. You can watchlist it if you're interested; or, you can add it directly to your user page by including {{WPMILHIST Announcements}} there.
- Most important discussions take place on the project's main discussion page; it is highly recommended that you watchlist it.
- The project has several departments, which handle article quality assessment, detailed article and content review, and project-wide collaboration.
- We have a number of task forces that focus on specific topics, nations, periods, and conflicts.
- We've developed a variety of guidelines for article structure and content, template use, categorization, and other issues that you may find useful.
