Johnstownbridge is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in County Kildare, Ireland, winner of three county senior football championships and Kildare club of the year in 1983. Balyna parish field as a separate club in youth competitions.
Hurling
Johnstownbridge players hurl with Broadford, where under the guidance of the legendary Teddy Gorman, they have represented the parish well, becoming perhaps the most successful intermediate hurling team in the entire parish of Balyna. Defeating the likes of The MillPond, Cadamstown, Thomastown and Carrick and Carbury Borders with ease on a regular basis.
