John William Loudon (August 14, 1967 - ) is a Republican member of the Missouri Senate, representing the 7th District since 2000. Previously he was a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from 1995 through 2000.
He graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989. He later received a J.D. degree from the Oak Brook College of Law and Governmental Policy. He married Dr. Gina Gentry in 1990, and they have three children, Lyda, Lily and Jack. He is a member of Covenant Family Church, Delta Tau Delta fraternity. He is the Missouri chair of the National Republican Legislators Association.
He was first elected to the Missouri House of Representatives in 1994, serving there through 1998. He was elected to the Missouri State Senate in 2000, and again in 2004. He is currently the chair of the Senate’s Small Business, Insurance, and Industrial Relations Committee, vice chair of the Governmental Accountability and Fiscal Oversight Committee, and a member of the committees on Education, Gubernatorial Appointments, and Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence.
