John Pook

John Barrie Pook was born in Neath on February 2nd. 1942, and grew up in Gowerton, near Swansea, South Wales.
He attended Gowerton Grammar School and Queens College Cambridge, where he was awarded an M.A. degree. He later gained a Master's dgree in Linguistics from Univerity College College, Bangor, a college of the University of Wales. John Pook won the Eric Gregory Award for Poetry in 1971.
John Pook works as an Editor for an airline reservation company and lives in the South of France. His poetry has been published in many poetry magazines and anthologies as well as a collection, 'That Cornish Facing Door'.
