João Paulo Pinto Ribeiro (also known as João Paulo) (born April 8, 1980 in Porto) is a Portuguese football player who plays as a striker for Rapid Bucureşti at Liga I in Romania.
Having grown through the ranks of Boavista FC, he was loaned by the club several times, before finally settling in 2005 in FC Paços de Ferreira and blossoming as a striker in 2007-08 in União de Leiria (8 league goals and two UEFA Cup strikes, both against Bayer Leverkusen, on home and away legs). In January 2008, he moved to the Romanian outfit of Rapid Bucureşti.
