I’m a student formerly of computer science and latterly of linguistics. I am Tlingit and study the Tlingit language, with intent to work in revitalization of the language and culture. I also have studied Russian, Dutch, and Japanese to some extent, and am currently learning Hawaiian and Chinook Jargon, all of which I suppose makes me a polyglot. I’m fascinated by linguistics, particularly syntax and morphology, and specifically HPSG. I’m also a devoted Lisp hacker, although I haven’t produced much software for public use. I’ve apprenticed some in Tlingit woodcarving and design, and am working on developing my artistic skills in two-dimensional and three-dimensional design.
I’m currently pursuing a BA in Linguistics, and will continue my education with a MA and PhD in Linguistics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. My studies are morphology, corpus linguistics, Tlingit syntax and morphology, Na-Dené languages, language documentation, and endangered language revitalization.

Below are backups of my articles on Tlingit, someday to become part of the Tlingit language series. If you have suggested changes please email me rather than editing these articles because I regularly update from my personal versions with wholesale copy-paste. This violates the Wikipedia Way™ but they’re personal articles so I don’t care.
