James McDonald (baseball)

James Zell McDonald (born October 19, 1984 in Long Beach, California, United States) is a right-handed pitcher in Minor League Baseball who pitches for the Jacksonville Suns in the Double-A Southern League.
McDonald was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 11th round of the June 2002 MLB Draft out of Long Beach Poly High School. He pitched for the Gulf Coast Dodgers in 2003, but missed all of the 2004 season and most of the 2005 season due to injury. Returned to pitch for the Ogden Raptors at the end of 2005 and the Columbus Catfish in 2006. Started 2007 with the Inland Empire 66ers before he was promoted to the Double-A Jacksonville Suns.
