J. J. Dossen

J.J. Dossen, (born: James Jenkins Dossen[1] in Maryland County, Liberia; c.1866: died August 17, 1924[2]) was Vice-President of Liberia[1] from 1904 to 1912 under President Arthur Barclay.[2] He was elected president of the College of Liberia in 1913,[1] and associate judge of the Supreme Court of Liberia for 10 years,[2] before holding the position of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia for 13 years.[1][2] The J.J. Dossen Memorial Hospital in Harper, Maryland County, the only hospital in south-eastern Liberia,[3] is named after him.
