Jämsä

Jämsä is a town and municipality of Finland.
It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Central Finland region. The municipality has a population of 15,306 (2003) and covers an area of 1,186.23 km² of which 182.25 km² is water. The population density is 12.9 inhabitants per km².
The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
It is the center of Finnish aeronautics industry - the aircraft factory and aeronautical engineering offices of Patria and the Test flight center of Finnish Air Force are there.
