Ion Ivanovici

Ion Ivanovici (alternatively, Iosif Ivanovici, Josef Ivanovici) (born 1845 in Timişoara, died September 28, 1902 in Bucharest) was a Romanian military band leader and composer. He wrote over 350 dance pieces and marches, but today his only work known to the public is "The Waves of the Danube", which became well known as the popular song "Oh, How we Danced on the Night we were Wed".
