io9 is a science fiction blog launched in 2008 by Gawker Media.[2] It is edited by Annalee Newitz, a former policy analyst for the Electronic Frontier Foundation and contributor to Popular Science, Wired, New Scientist. Other contributors include Geoff Manaugh (BLDG BLOG), Graeme McMillan (Newsarama), Kevin Kelly (Joystiq, Cinematical) and Lynn Peril.[2] The blog is indexed by Google News.
