Investors Bank & Trust (NASDAQ: IFIN) is the chief operating subsidiary of Investors Financial Services a company based in Boston, Massachusetts. First founded in 1969 as an offshoot of Eaton Vance, the company was purchased by State Street Corp in 2007 and no longer operates as a separate listed company.
Its headquarters is the landmark John Hancock Tower designed by I.M. Pei, where it is chief tenant.[citation needed] Some of its more well-known clients include Aegon, Barclays Global Investors, Eaton Vance, and MassMutual[1].
IBT's recruitment efforts see the sourcing of nearly 300 new hires, or 10% of its workforce, each year[2]. Many of its heads started with the company in entry-level roles with Investors.
