Ilıca, Çeşme

Ilıca is a large village near Çeşme (pronounced Tcheshme), which is a district of İzmir Province in Çeşme Peninsula in the extreme western tip of Turkey.
Ilıca is historically a retreat for wealthy people during summer holidays. Nowadays, it is a popular destination for many. It has natural hot water springs, the word Ilıca itself meaning hot springs in Turkish, and some of these are located in the sea. Ilıca also has a golden beach, approximately 1.5 km long and favorable wind condition makes Ilıca, together with the beaches of the neighboring Alaçatı, an internationally prized location for windsurfing.
