Hayesfield School Technology College

Hayesfield School Technology College is a girls secondary school, with a co-educational sixth form, in Bath, England.

Hayesfield School was formed in 1973 when the City of Bath reorganised secondary education by merging grammar schools and secondary modern schools to form comprehensive schools. West Twerton Secondary Modern School and City of Bath Girl's Grammar School were merged to form Hayesfield School. The school was renamed Hayesfield School Technology College when it obtained Technology College status.

The school has specialist Technology College and Foundation school status. The school has 1,200 pupils and operates on two major sites about half a mile apart, one for the lower school (years 7 to 9) and the other for the upper school. The sixth form operates in a separate large house near the upper school.
[edit] Sixth Form
Hayesfield sports a co-educational sixth form, situated across the road from the 'upper school' in a house. Although the Year 13 at present has only 7 males, the co-educational aspect is growing and the Year 12 has at least 20. This shows the increasing popularity of Hayesfield to boys. I have no idea why they would come to a sixth form like Hayesfield, where they are instantly immasculated. The sixth form house has about 6 floors, with music technology on the top floor. This ensures that all music students have freakishly strong legs and are very good at climbing stairs. The rest of us are recklessly unfit and spend our time sitting in the common room at the bottom of the house, only occasionally moving to collect food from Greggs in Moorland Road.
I sit in that common room a lot. It is often very nice, if a bit dirty.
