Harpo Productions

Harpo Productions is an incorporated US-based multimedia production company founded by media mogul Oprah Winfrey (the name 'Harpo' is 'Oprah' spelled backwards (and thus is not to be confused with Harpo Marx)). It also includes Harpo Films. It is based in Chicago.

Harpo is also the name of a character in the book The Color Purple. When it was made into a movie Oprah Winfrey played Sofia, Harpo's wife.
