Grahm Junior College - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Grahm Junior College

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Grahm Junior College, a now-defunct institution formerly located in Boston, Massachusetts, was once one of Boston's busiest 2-year colleges.

The school opened in 1950 under the name Cambridge School of Business, as part of a chain of schools operating out of a New York office (other branches were located in Philadelphia and Chicago). The curriculum was later expanded to include radio and TV broadcasting, and in 1967 the school was renamed Grahm Junior College, after its first president, Milton Grahm.

At its peak enrollment during the 1960s the school occupied 4 buildings in Boston's Kenmore Square, one of them being the notable Hotel Kenmore. It ultimately closed in 1979 after going bankrupt. Boston University purchased the vacant space immediately after Grahm's closure.
