Gheorghe Constantin (born 14 December 1932 in Bucureşti, Romania) is a romanian former football player. He is a symbol of Steaua Bucureşti.

[edit] Player Career
Constantin made his debut for Unirea Tricolor youth team and shortly after the abolition of his team he signed with Venus UCB. He played only a year for his new team. He played a short period of time for Avântul Reghin and for CFR Iaşi before he signed a contract with Steaua Bucureşti. He played 15 years for this team , scoring a huge number of goals in Liga I, 149. After this period he played his last years in Turkey , at Kayserispor, before his retirement.

After his comeback from Turkey he was appointed by Steaua as an Assistant Manager. He was the manager of the team in 1973 but after only a short period he moves to Bacău. After Bacău he trains FCM Galaţi , but he returns in 1978 at his true love, Steaua. He wins the Romanian Cup with Steaua and he leaves the team for training Politehnica Iaşi. n 1983 he is appointed the manager of Steaua's second team, Steaua Mecanică Fină Bucureşti. After only a year, he moves to Gloria Buzău.

- 4 times Romanian Liga I winner (1956, 1959-1960, 1960-1961, 1967-1968)

- Romanian Cup winner (1978 - 1979)

- He is nicknamed "Profesorul" (the teacher);
- His debut in the national team is made in the match between Romania and Serbia, match won by the romanian team which was composed only with players from Steaua.
