Get a Clue is a 1997 film based on the Newbery Medal winning book The Westing Game.
[edit] Different plot
There are several characters from the original book who are written out or changed. For example, Turtle is partnered with Christos Theodorakis instead of Flora, and Turtle is made out to be the main character. There is also not Madame Hoo, Theo, Mrs. Baumbauch, and Jake and Doug are not heirs. Dr Denton Deere is only the doctor in one small scene. Sam Westing's prize money is also only $20,000,000 instead of the two hundred million dollars. In the movie Chris is playing a chess game on the computer but in the book it's Theo, Chris' brother, was the one playing chess, but instead of on the computer the chess game was played in the game room. Also in the book Theo played a special part because in the end of the book Turtle (Tabitha-Ruth) gets married to Theo. It portrays the book in many ways.
