The Gateshead rally is a motorsports rally which is also known as the Pirelli International Rally. It takes place in the northeast of England and is a mixture of fast open sprints across farmland and twisty forest tracks. The stages are some of the most demanding in the British Rally Championship: Chirdonhead is a fast open run through forest; Shepards Shield is a short run through some farmland, but is also very high speed; Harwood forest is a mix of open and twisty forest and field land, it is the hardest stage of the rally; and Falstone is twisty and fast, but mainly in forest and very narrow.
