Can someone provide me the source for this article? What is "Gangnam District" in Korean? Doesn't "Gangnam(강남)" mean all of the south part Seoul? --Acepectif 00:25, 26 November 2006 (UTC)

Gangnam means literally all of the south part Seoul, but "usually" (and almost exclusively in the media and by people) it means those three gus mentioned in this article. Janviermichelle 09:39, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
Can you provide me the source for that? I thought in that sense Gangnam usually meant 'some ill-defined rich part of Seoul'. In what criterion does this article precisely mention those three gu? --Acepectif 16:38, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Move Suggestion

I suggest to move this article to Gangnam (Seoul). The word "district" is used in many articles as a translation of "gu(구)". Then, let's interlink this article with ko:강남 (서울). I think it will be good to mention various meanings of Gangnam in Korean as this ko: article does. --Acepectif 22:27, 28 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Moves etc

I've done my best to name some of the Gangnam pages appropriately, but it's difficult to find a convincing case to really flesh out his article - it is a legit interpretation of the term "Gangnam", but information about what is in each gu can be adequately mentioned in their respective articles. Only information which is specifically relevant to all 3 gu should be included here. Deiz talk 09:53, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
