This image was uploaded in the JPEG format even though it consists of non-photographic data. The information it contains could be stored more efficiently or more accurately in the PNG format or SVG format. If possible, please upload a PNG or SVG version of this image, derived from a non-JPEG source so that it doesn't contain any compression artifacts (or with existing artifacts removed) and with transparency where appropriate. After doing so, please replace all instances of the JPEG version throughout Wikipedia (noted under the "File links" header), tag the JPEG version with {{obsolete|NewImage.ext}} , and remove this tag. This is a logo of an organization, item, or event, and is protected by copyright and/or trademark. It is believed that the use of low-resolution images on the English-language Wikipedia, hosted on servers in the United States by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation, of logos for certain uses involving identification and critical commentary may qualify as fair use under United States copyright law. Any other uses of this image, on Wikipedia or elsewhere, may be copyright infringement. Certain commercial use of this image may also be trademark infringement. See Wikipedia:Non-free content and Wikipedia:Logos.
This tag must have an accompanying fair use rationale which must be unique to the usage of THIS image in each article in which it is used. You must also give the source and copyright information for all fair-use images uploaded. This image is the copyrighted logo of the Free State Project. It is used under a claim of fair use. Specifically, its use in the article Free State Project on the English-language Wikipedia, where the Free State Project is a major subject, to identify the Free State Project, is legitimate fair use. It does not deprive the copyright holder of any revenue, and the public use of logos to identify their owners is a standard case of fair use. It should be clear that the article is not endorsed by the owner, and no confusion is at all likely to result, thus no trademark issues arise either. Mac OS X 10:03, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
