I created this entry to reduce confusion between Lübeck the city and Lübeck the former independent city-state. Any historical links to the Lübeck (city) entry, when they really refer to the state, can now link to here instead. At the moment, a lot of the text here has been taken from the city entry, but it's a start. — 52 Pickup 12:36, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
