FC Baník Ostrava is a Czech football club from the Silesian part of the city of Ostrava. Founded in 1922, it is one of the most traditional Czech clubs - it has won many national and international trophies. Its home stadium is Bazaly, and its colours are blue and white. Its greatest rivals are Sparta Prague; regional derby is with SFC Opava. Friendly club is GKS Katowice from Poland.
