Esben Hansen (born August 10, 1981) is a Danish football midfielder, who currently plays for the Danish Superliga side Odense Boldklub.
He made his international debut for Denmark in a game against Liechtenstein on September 13, 2007, when he was named in the starting 11. Coincidentally, he is the only player to have worn the captain's armband in an international debut, as Jon Dahl Tomasson handed Thomas Helveg the armband when he was substituted in the 68th minute but Helveg Handed the armband to Odense team mate Hansen
