Emilio Caprile (born September 30, 1928 in Genoa) was an Italian football (soccer) player. Emilio Caprile was the youngest player on Italy's 1950 World Cup team unfortunaltely he was also one of four players who didn't see any action. Caprile was a classic left wing who made his debut for the Pozzo's national team at the 1948 London Olympics at 20 years of age. He played in the round of 16 and the quarterfinals scoring a goal in the 9-0 win against the U.S. and another in their 5-3 loss to Denmark. That was his last chance at a starting role for the 'Azzurri' due to the fact his competition for that position was against Riccardo Carapellese. His Serie A debut came at 17 years of age with Genoa in 1945 then Sestrese in Serie B as well as Legnano before going to Juventus. With Juventus he won the championship having only played five games and scoring 2 goals. Tired of riding the bench he went to Atalanta for two seasons and then to Lazio, Como in Serie B, and finally Legnano in Serie C. He retired after 13 seasons.
