To my understanding, there are a few primal forces which drives a man. If we look at the spectrum of humanity, starting from the primitive ages to the feudal societies or perhaps even in communist societies, much of humanity was driven by Fear. Then arose the wave of capitalism which is largely fueled by Desire (perhaps representing the current era). As the man, drunk in desires would keep on consuming, little he notices the damage being done to himself and the environment. This would (and should) create the perfect environment for the clarion call of Duty, giving rise to an era into which we perhaps see our current generation transitioning into. Eventually it is my hope that the ultimate force of all forces Love will drive the bulk of humanity, culminating into a solid congregation, solely existing By and For Love.

So from Fear to Desire to Duty to Love, isn't this evolution itself, evolution of man (not of this world), the sole purpose of Life itself? While the above, by no means is a chronological graph of human evolution, for men of great character have existed in pretty much all ages who lived simply by and for love, leading us by examples, those whom we call saints or sons of God; it is my belief that humanity at large is also moving ahead, albeit slowly and much behind than those great seers, nevertheless we are moving. Call it naivety, stupidity, a glimmer of hope or flight of imagination .... they are all true, for the world IS as we see it, and it becomes as we become, choice is truly ours.
