Dušan Basta (Serbian Cyrillic: Душан Баста; born August 18, 1984 in Belgrade, Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia), a defender, is a football player from Serbia currently playing for Red Star Belgrade. He has been ever present in the under 21's selection of Serbia and has been named captain. He was a non-playing member of the Serbia & Montenegro squad at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
He is the vice captain of FK Crvena Zvezda (FC Red Star Belgrade) after Nenad Kovačević left this season, Dejan Milovanovic has been named captain.
It is rumored that Romanian club Steaua Bucuresti are interested in buying Dusan for their UEFA Champions League campaign.
