[edit] History
At 49° 47′ North, the Ice Dogs are the most northern Junior "A" team in Ontario, surpassing the record held by the Abitibi Eskimos of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
The Ice Dogs are one of the SIJHL's charter teams, and have established a tradition as being one of the top teams in the league, having won the first ever league championship and posted finishes of at least third in the league in season play in all but one of their seasons to date.
The Ice Dogs play at the Dryden Memorial Arena, and have games broadcast on CKDR, Dryden's local radio station.
