Double drumming

Double drumming (or double drums as it is sometimes referred to) is a musical technique, used mostly in rock music, where two drummers play two drum kits at the same time. One may play the rhythm while another may play another style, or both may play the same rhythm. Another variation is that one will play a standard drum kit, while another will play other percussion instruments such as latin percussion, cowbells, gongs or additional cymbals and odd size toms.
