Dionciel Armstrong was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He is the youngest of five siblings. He began exploring arts at a very young age and has had the pleasure of his art being showcased in the Detroit Art Museum for numerous years.

Dionciel Armstrong is an artistic visionary and entrepreneur. He is an active writer, director, and producer in the film industry. Dionciel Armstrong is currently the President/ CEO of Mind Vision Productions. In 1997, Dionciel Armstrong founded Rapfiles.com, which is an online recourse and information portal for independent artist, producers, and labels. Rapfiles.com enables individuals to gain knowledge from industry execs and business savvy individuals alike Big John, Wendy Day, Kevin Liles, and so forth. Prior to launching Rapfiles.com, he owned a full service printing company. Shortly after selling his printing business, Dionciel Armstrong began focusing more on his film career by making his debut with a documentary titled “Street Life”. “Street Life” would be the vioce of what he and most rappers of today are speaking about regarding society and inner city communities.
In 2001, Dionciel Armstrong released Street Life on DVD. “Stree Life” sold over 40,000 units nationwide through their independent distribution company. One year later, “Street Life” was released to a larger distribution company called Xenon Pictures. The documentary went on to sell over a quarter million copies nationwide. A few years later, Dionciel Armstrong and Dwannver Jessie expanded their production company, On The Hush Entertainment by adding to their business creditials. They began offering additional services such as producing commercials, electronic press kits, websites, graphic design, and other forms of marketing and promotions.
In 2003, Dionciel released RapFiles.com to DVD. This provided him with the opportunity to expose the industry to up-and-comings and Hip-Hop fans as well. Rap Files Vol. 1 is now sold in over 10 countries and is currently an online show which features interviews from today’s entertainers such as Katt Williams, Method Man, Eminem, and Proof.
In 2005, Dionciel Armstrong added another title to his career, business consultant. He utilized his knowledge, wisdom, experience, and independent success from the music industry to began consulting with independent based record labels.He soon began working with WonderBoy Entertainment as the GM of Operations and Marketing VP. WonderBoy quickly became a successful independent record label that reached a deal with Koch Records and later inked a deal with Motown/Universal Music Group. A couple years later after joining another independent record company based in Michigan, Dionciel Armstrong inked a GM deal at Royalty Records Inc. which operates with the likes of Forty da Great, Lyric, Show, and it’s own recording studio.
Today, Dionciel Armstrong returned to his passion, film making. He began production on his debut feature film “Five.K.One” along with producers Mateen Cleeves and Paul Britt. The film stars Clifton Powell from “Ray”, AJ Johnson from “Friday”, Melvin Jackson Jr. from “The Wire”, Forty Da Great, Quest Mcody, Big Herk, and Yukmouth. This film focuses on the story of two best friends who has had their run of the streets. Throughout this film they will go through trials and tribulations, and face adversity and life altering decisions that they may not be able to live with. Dionciel Armstrong wrote this film to bring awareness to what the street have to offer which is prison, death and chaos. He took the title “Five. K.One” straight from the federal sentencing guidelines in section 5.k.1.2 which states that if an individual gives information to convict someone else, their sentence will be expunged or reduced for cooperating.
