The template at the bottom of the page states that De Misteriis Dom Sathanas was released in 1983 instead of 10 years later. Thanks
[edit] Dead's conributions
Which of the lyrics are done by DEAD? I hardly doubt that DEAD contributed to this album at all. If I receive no answer in one week, I will delete the mention of DEAD from this article. Regenspaziergang 22:31, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Do you mean what lyrics or what vocals? Because he wrote the lyrics to all of the songs on here except the title track I believe. There are many, many bootleg live shows and rehearsals with Dead practicing most of these songs with the band before he committed suicide. He does not appear on the album performing vocals as he died several years before the recording session.
I recall reading that the songs "Funeral Fog" and "Freezing Moon" were written entirely by him. I'm not sure about the rest. 24.151.79.108 03:44, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Dead wrote all of the lyrics to the songs before he died, although not all of the music was written when he died thus explaining why you can't find videos or bootlegs of him performing them. http://www.peryngveohlin.com/frameset3.htm 70.64.186.91 02:15, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Blackthorn
The artical says that Blackthorn played guitar on the album, but the band's official website says that only Euronymous, Varg, Hellhammer and Attila played on the album, Encyclopedia Metallium also says this. Should Blackthorn's name be removed from the list or am I just a n00b and missing something deadly obvious? -Jonnz
Not sure if he played on the album or not, but he did contribute some riffs to the album. One riff from Life Eternal came right off the Thorns demo Grymyrk
