David Hobbs is a rugby league coach, currently coaching National League 2 side Featherstone Rovers.
Hobbs started his career at Featherstone and won the Lance Todd trophy in 1983 when Rovers famously beat Hull FC in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley, Rovers won 14-12.
In his playing career he played for Featherstone, then transferred to Bradford Northern, he became coach at Northern until he left for Wakefield Trinity in 1994. He then went to Halifax as Director of Football.
In 2005, Hobbs was appointed coach of his first team, Featherstone Rovers half way through the season after Gary Price left, he failed to save Rovers from relegation but is still rebuilding the team.
His brother, Kevin, also played for Featherstone, who also coached the Rovers in 1999.
