Clarence Eckerson is a Brooklyn based videographer who has created BikeTV and Streetfilms.org. His videos have been very influential in disseminating innovative transportation policies around the world. He been called "the hardest working man in transportation show business" for his years of dedicated effort to creating videos which are both educational and entertaining.

Eckerson was born in 1967 and grew up in New York State. He worked for several large media companies producing video and video editing. He also became a bicycle advocate and served three years as head of Transportation Alternatives Brooklyn committee. [1]

In 2002, Eckerson brought his transportation and his video passions together and created BikeTV, a cable based show dedicated to showing all aspects of the bicycle world in New York City and beyond. [2]

In 2004, Eckerson started working for The Open Planning Project on the body of video work that would eventually become StreetFilms.org.[3] StreetFilms.org is a video blog that tackles the issues of the livable streets movement in conjunction with Streetsblog, also produced by the Open Planning Project.
