Cindy Herron

Cindy Ann Herron (born September 26, 1965 in San Francisco, California) is a soprano singer and an original (and eldest) member of the R&B group En Vogue. Herron is the 1986 Miss San Francisco and placed 2nd-Runner Up in the 1986 Miss California Pageant, an official Miss America Preliminary; she is also a former Miss Black California.[1] She is also known as Cindy Herron-Braggs. Herron is married to former professional baseball player Glenn Braggs and has four children. Her father is African-American while her mother is of Swiss and German heritage.
Herron began her career in the cabaret scene in San Francisco, California in the 1980's. She appeared in the original company of the Jerry Herman musical revue Showtune (then titled Tune the Grand Up).
Herron has also worked as an actress, beginning in 1980 as a cast member of the PBS television drama Up and Coming. She later appeared in such films as Juice and Lexie.
