From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I am a staff scientist at HP Labs in Palo Alto, California, USA where I have worked on phase change data storage, magnetic-particle-based bioassays and printable electronics. I attended Dartmouth College and then MIT, where I worked for Mildred Dresselhaus on the superconductivity of graphite intercalation compounds. I previously worked at Naval Research Lab on giant magnetoresistance and at Lawrence Livermore National Lab on exchange coupling in magnetic multilayers and NEXAFS of boron nitride and iron silicide films. After many years in an industrial research lab, my Hirsch number is only 9.
In recent years my most rewarding scientific experiences were at the New England Biolabs Molecular Biology Summer Workshop and the the Institute for Defense Analyses' Defense Science Study Group.
