Cezerye
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cezerye is a semi-gelatinous Turkish confectionary made from carrot, fig or date purée, packed with nuts or pistachios and sprinkled with shredded coconut. Cut into roughly 1" x 2" rectangular chips and served at special occasions, it is somewhat akin to Turkish Delights and the Chinese walnut candy known as hetao tang. It is believed to be an aphrodisiac.
