Caulfield is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Caulfield East, at the junction of the Frankston line from the Pakenham and Cranbourne railway lines. Classed as a Premium Station, it is in Metcard Zone 1.
The station is located between Sir John Monash Drive (formerly Railway Avenue) and Normanby Road. It is served by the route 3 tram as well as various bus routes including a SmartBus route to Rowville. It is located adjacent to the Caulfield campus of Monash University as well as Caulfield Racecourse.
The station consists of four platforms, with two in an island format. Platforms 2 and 3 (island platform in the centre) house the main station building, constructed of red brick building and containing an enclosed waiting room and a ticket office. Smaller red brick buildings are located on platforms 1 and 4. The station itself is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.
A large Metcard machine is located inside the main waiting room, with small Metcard machines are located at the entrances to platforms 1 and 4. A subway is located underneath the station linking all platforms, and contains a small take away food shop.

Caulfield station originally opened on May 7, 1879. A third rail line is to built connecting the station with Dandenong railway station as part of the $1 billion Dandenong railway line triplication project.[1]
