Cathedral School of Vilnius

The Cathedral School of Vilnius is believed to be the earliest school in Lithuania and was opened some time prior to 1397 at Vilnius Cathedral. It was initially a primary school, later evolving into a secondary school. The curriculum may have consisted of the trivium and quadrivium as taught by cathedral schools in Poland.
