Carlthorp School is a private primary school located in Santa Monica, California. It has an approximate 280 students. Carlthorp was established in 1939 by Ann Granstrom and Mercedes Thorp. Its classes range from kindergarten to 6th grade.
Carlthorp is a blue ribbon school with many opportunities to participate in athletics. It is considered one of the best private schools in the state.[citation needed]
